We should know.

I just found this interesting article in the internet and would like to share this with my readers. I cut and paste the content tau.

*********
Interestingly, for the millions of people enrolled in yoga classes, the Islamic form of prayer has provided Muslims for fourteen centuries with some of yoga’s same (and even superior) benefits.

This simple form of “yoga” offers physical, mental, and spiritual benefits five times a day as Muslims assume certain positions while reciting Qur’an and athkar (remembrances). If you’re interested read further…

The Muslim prayer has five positions, and they all have a corresponding relationship with our spiritual and mental well being, according to modern scientific research. The Takbir and Al Qiyyam (mountain pose in Yoga) - found to improve posture, balance, and self-awareness. Normalizes blood pressure, breathing, thus providing many benefits to asthma heart patients.

Placement of hands on the chest during the Qiyyam position - activates the nerve pathway, which directs our awareness of self in the world and controls the health of the muscular system, skin, intestines, liver, pancreas, gallbladder and eyes. When the hands are held open for du’a, they activate the heart ; center of the feelings of love, harmony, and peace, and to control love and compassion. It also governs the health of the heart, lungs, thymus, immune system, and circulatory system.

When Muslims recite the Qur’an, old thoughts, feelings, fears and guilt are released or healed, and blood pressure and stress levels are reduced. Some specific sounds, in fact, correspond to major organs in the body. Vibrations made when pronouncing the long vowels, 'A', 'E' and 'U,' stimulated the heart, lungs, and the thyroid, pineal, pituitary, and adrenal glands. The position of Ruku (forward bend) stretches the muscles of the lower back, thighs, legs and calves, and allows blood to be pumped down into the upper torso. It tones the muscles of the stomach, abdomen, and kidneys. Forming a right angle allows the stomach muscles to develop, and prevents flabbiness in the mid-section. It also promotes a greater flow of blood into the upper regions of body – particularly to the head, eyes, ears, nose, brain, and lungs – allowing mental toxins to be released.

The Sujud - activates the person’s spiritual connection with the universe around them and their enthusiasm for spiritual pursuits. This nerve pathway is also correlated to the health of the brain, nervous system, and pineal gland. Controls basic human survival instincts and provides essential grounding. This helps to develop levelheaded and positive thinking along with a highly motivated view of life, and maintains the health of the lymph and skeletal systems, the prostate, bladder, and the adrenal glands.

The position of Al Qaadah) -(Thunderbolt Pose in yoga), which firms the toes, knees, thighs, and legs. good for those prone to excessive sleep, and those who like to keep long hours. Furthermore, this position assists in speedy digestion, aids the detoxification of the liver, and stimulates peristaltic action in the large intestine.Last, but not least, the by turning the head towards first the right and then the left shoulder in the closing of the prayer - This nerve path is linked to the throat, neck, arms, hands, bronchials, and hearing – effecting individual creativity and communication.

Awal Muharram.

Selamat menyambut Awal Muharram. May this year will bring us closer to Allah The Almighty. I am scared. The signs of the Judgement Day (Qiyamah) are very obvious now but we are still ignorant about that.

I am ashamed of myself too as I am still not in the know about the Islamic terms and phrases.

The list will be very long if I were to list everything that I am ashamed of. Things that I do, say, look, wear and feel daily.

But I am still here doing nothing to change anything.

*sigh*

Goodbye 2008.

Year 2009 is approaching. Time flies very fast, even faster than a bullet train in Japan. As usual, when we mention about new year, we might be brainstorming on the resolution as well. But heck no, I think resolution does no good for me since I am not the one who will stick to that.

All I can say, year 2008 has been a very great year for me. I am not going to list them. Just keeping them to myself. I might hurt some lives whom apprently might not had the same thing or two with mine. Understood that luck does not appear to everyone and who knows 2009 might not be the year for me.But, cheers to all of us for being able to keep up with ups and downs!

We are getting older. I am turning 24 and this-is-not-a-hint. It came across my mind that I haven't been doing many things nor experiencing many one-of-a-kind moments through out my living life. I should get started on that!

Other than that, read more books read more books read more books.

Class is starting on Tuesday after a month of holiday. I should work harder right? My result is not at satisfactory by the way though I passed all papers. It is just not enough.

p/s: missing all my friends abroad.

I believe in dreams.

I believe in dreams. And I always believe that if I want my dreams to be happened, I should work for it. And I must start working working on it.

One of the things.

I'm not the type who is into hi-tech mobile phones but this time, I really really really fell in love with this one.(Ever since I saw Tasha's, I totally fell in love with it, lagi-lagi Tasha ada promote that it is really useful) I know this is beyond my earnings because I am a student and I don't have a business to deal with people daily, furthermore, I have this bad luck thing when it comes to mobile phone and water. But still, this is a powerful tool.

It is not just for business purposes. It's moreeee than that.

I need to save every penny now. :)

Syukur.

Syukur Alhamdulillah.

I thought I was about to fail any of the papers but it went quite well. Syukur Syukur. It is totally unexpected. Pointer saya juga naik.

Mungkin Starbucks itu tempat yang bagus untuk menelaah pelajaran. Mungkin selepas ini boleh belajar di Starbucks lagi. Habislah duit.

Quotes.

  • Tragedies do happen. We can discover the reason, blame others, imagine how different our lives would be had they not occurred. But none of that is important: they did occur, and so be it. From there onward we must put aside the fear that they awoke in us and begin to rebuild.
  • A warrior is always aware of what is worth fighting for. He does not go into combat over things that do not concern him, and he never wastes his time over provocations
  • You will see that, in order to do the important things in life, at times one must allow oneself to do nothing.
  • Anyone can become angry - that is easy, but to be angry with the right person, to the right degree, at the right time, for the right purpose, and in the right way - that is not easy.
  • Be content with your lot; one cannot be first in everything
  • Making mistakes simply means you are learning faster.
  • Life is short and we never have enough time for gladdening the hearts of those who travel the way with us. Oh, be swift to love! Make haste to be kind.
  • I am responsible for my own wellbeing, my own happiness. The choices and decisions I make regarding my life directly influences the quality of my days.
  • If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. Don't complain
  • All political parties die at last of swallowing their own lies.
  • The true meaning of religion is thus, not simply morality, but morality touched by emotion
  • Drop the last year into the silent limbo of the past. Let it go, for it was imperfect, and thank God that it can go.
  • If you are pained by external things, it is not they that disturb you, but your own judgment of them. And it is in your power to wipe out that judgment now.

I know that I have made a mistake. So as something to cure my confused mind, those quotes have strengthen my faith within myself. For every mistakes done, it will be ok. It's part of learning about life.

Unproductive.

I spend the whole day and night on my bed not feeling well. I should be playing guitar heroes by now. It looks like it needs a friend. Read books is another option. It needs to be flipped! Zack is busy this whole week setting up for the rocktheworld.

I miss her already.

Last night, Tokchu slept over our house. In my room. And she stayed at our house this whole day. Having her here, even though it was only for a day is already enough to make me happy. I miss her presence in our house. She was my guardian, my nanny, my closest companion. She is closer to me than my mum.

And now she is no longer staying with us since year 2006 after 20 years of living with us and raising me up. Having her around even though it was only for a short while, is enough to make me smile and talk more than 1000 words in this house. So today. I have someone to talk to in this house, someone to share my countless stories, and someone who I can show pictures of my other half and friends from my lappy.

Now she has gone back to my uncle's house where she is currently staying. And I miss her already.

My heart is crying out loud begging her to stay here but she has 3 growing grandchildren to be taken care of.

Haish, kan bagus kalau boleh tinggal kat kampung. Hari-hari relatives ada. Tak pun pindahkan satu kampung tinggal kat rumah ini. Hari-hari borak besar, gelak besar, jemaah sama-sama, makan sedap.

One of my 2008 resolution is to be closer with my family and relatives. And Alhamdulillah, I've managed to achive that.

Aidiladha and Engagement at Kampung.

Hello readers. I am back from Kampung for Aidiladha celebration. My closest cousin too got engaged on Tuesday. So another kenduri next year. The whole family and relatives will be expecting kenduri every year starting from last year since we all have grown up and are collecting our money for our wedding preparation including me even though my time lambat lagi.
Amin's Birthday.

I was the so-called-mak-andam yang main hentam and photographer yang tak professional.

It was raining cats and dogs but not on the engagement day itself. Maybe my Kakngah is not a fan of budu. In the East Coast area, for we believe that when someone likes to eat budu, there will be heavy downpour on his/her wedding day. So I guess during my wedding day, boleh jadi hujan sangat lebat sebab saya terlampau suka budu. (yeck me if you want).

I managed to finish reading 2 books. A proof that I did not spend my time in the kitchen with my aunties. Guess that the weather has caused me to be soooo pemalas.
More pictures will be uploaded in Facebook.

Well well.

Tonight is the first night that I stay at home. Usually, I will hang out with Fifi, Zack, Afiq and the rest and balik by 12. With the amount of books and magazines that I've already bought, I have no reason not to stay at home and do my readings but well well..life will be too dull to stay at home. I'd rather go out and meet new faces and friends.

The thing about making friends is, it helps you on views toward life. You see, I don't really choose my friends, except if they can be such a pain in the as*, why bother to stick around?

Last week, my mother mocked me for having TOO MANY friends which to me, there is nothing wrong with that. What can I do, I can be described as a friendly person. (but it depends). But as I mentioned in my previous post, mothers will give the worst advice as a friend but the best as mothers. Mothers know better.

I've learned that we should not talk about other people too much. Well, who doesn't? I do that once in while. But I realized that, while we are busy talking about people behind thier backs on what they do, what they wear and what they say, they actually don't even talk about us at all. Why are we being such pessimistic while we can be optimistic? Why are we having grudges on other people, while they are actually having good thoughts about us? Ok la, even if they did talk behind our backs pun, just let them be. We just have to mind and enjoy our own business kan?

There are people we can trust and those we can't trust. So we were told, keep your friends close, but keep ur enemy closer. It's true. In this material world, it is hard to differentiate between an enemy and a friend.

I am glad that I am surrounded with great friends all over. Alhamdulillah syukur.
